  • Advertising Measurement: We use Meta (Facebook) to run ads that help people discover Otto. Meta may receive your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) solely to measure whether an ad resulted in an app install. This data is used only for attribution — we do not use it to show ads inside Otto, and it is not linked to your identity for advertising purposes.
  • Error Monitoring: We use Sentry to identify and fix technical issues in our application.
  • Financial Data: If you choose to connect a bank account, we use Plaid to securely access your financial information with read-only permissions.
  • Payments: We use Superwall and Apple's StoreKit for subscription management and in-app purchases.

Each of these service providers has their own privacy policy governing their use of your data. We encourage you to review their policies.

5. Advertising, Tracking, and Your Choices

In Short: We use your device's advertising identifier only to measure how effective our ads are. We never show ads inside Otto.

On iOS, we may request permission to access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you grant permission, your IDFA may be shared with Meta (Facebook) to help us understand which of our ads led to app installs. This is purely for measuring our own advertising — Otto contains no third-party ads.

If you deny tracking permission, we use Apple's SKAdNetwork framework, which provides privacy-preserving attribution without sharing your device identifier. Your experience inside Otto is identical regardless of your choice.

You can change your tracking preference at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone.
